The ips are generally very close (masks maybe slightly different). I'm not sure whether they are all indeed the same person, or if it is a shared ip, but if you look at [scottish knights history], you will see that these 86.xxx.xxx.xx have been constantly vandalizing and undoing...and they only edit that particular page. What is a checkuser going to do, they are IP addresses. If they are vandalizing, just post to WP:AIV to get admins to block. âÂÂâ nixeagleemail me 19:28, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- I believe there may be more sockpuppets from a very similar ip. Perhaps a checkuser can find them? (I'm still fairly new to wikipedia...so I may not fully understand all of the policies).Smallman12q (talk) 19:37, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- So should I report all of these ips to AIV? I don't fully know how to deal with all this.=(Smallman12q (talk) 19:39, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- As they vandalize, yes. Really the only other option is a range block. To request a range block, either leave a note at WP:AN, or file a quick case so that CheckUsers can check for collateral damage. But, in my opinion AIV is the way to go for the time being. - I will open a quick case then. Thankyou for your help.=DSmallman12q (talk) 19:56, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

- Template:Respond - CheckUser can not tell you anything more than you already know here. All CheckUser does is tell you the IP an account is editing under, and as you already know the IPs there is nothing left to tell. Also, CheckUser can not tell you who is editing via the IP, remember File:Pixie dust.png CheckUser is not magic pixie dust. Tiptoety talk 19:36, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
