This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion on January 31, 2008

Seth Rogen/Spoon (33.2)List of Saturday Night Live hosts and musical guests#Season 33

The result of the debate was delete. WjBscribe 20:35, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Articles with similar titles were deleted at AFD here and here. These would likely have been deleted as articles had the prods not been removed under rather dubious reasoning. As articles they would be deleted and as redirects they are useless because no one is ever going to search using exactly [Hostname]/[Musical guest name] (season number.episode number). • Keep All, they're used by the article and the template on the season, and they're otherwise harmless. --UsaSatsui (talk) 19:22, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
  • The templates are nominated for deletion because the articles they templatize are deleted or redirected. That they're used by the article isn't a reason for keeping because anyone who clicks on a link in the article is going to be redirected to the article. Otto4711 (talk) 02:49, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Then delete them if the templates get deleted. You're right though, it doesn't take much effort to just make the article link straight to the page, but it's still harmless. --UsaSatsui (talk) 09:27, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Delete All, and probably most uses of the template. Wouldn't be entered except as a link from an article, per nominator, and may not even be unique; if there is another multiyear variety show with the same guests. — Arthur Rubin | (talk) 01:07, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Delete all I'm surprised that someone tried to create SNL articles again. In the past we came to the conclusion that it made more sense to make articles for popular/reoccurring sketches/characters. Not that has anything to do with this RfD, but I was just thinking about it.. -- Ned Scott 09:21, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Delete all These are silly and unnecessary. Enigmaman (talk) 09:07, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Slide AwayDefinitely Maybe

The result of the debate was no longer a redirect. WjBscribe 20:36, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

there are other things that "Slide Away" can refer to, and having it redirect with no explanation is just wrong Enigmaman (talk) 02:43, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

  • Retarget to Slide Away (Verve song). Slide Away (disambiguation) is unnecessary as there is no article for the Oasis song. –Pomte 02:45, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
  • I would agree that the main target should be the song by The Verve. That's what led me to enter Slide Away into Wikipedia in the first place, and I was disappointed to see it redirect to a seemingly unrelated page. Enigmaman (talk) 02:57, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
  • It definitely shouldn't redirect to the Oasis album. Suggest moving either the disambiguation page or the Verve song to this title (i.e. Slide Away (disambiguation)/Slide Away (Verve song) --> Slide Away. In the case of the Verve song it should have a hatnote mentioning the Oasis song. On closer inspection it could also refer to Darren Styles, so I suggest making it a disambig page. Richard001 (talk) 02:34, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
  • → (disambig). And the disambig page can in turn link to the album. —Sladen (talk) 19:44, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
    • I think the reverse (disambig redirecting to 'slide away' would be much better. We might as well delete the disambig afterwards, but there's no harm in leaving as a redirect I guess. Richard001 (talk) 00:28, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
  • No action has been taken on this. Should I go ahead and move the Slide Away song to Slide Away? Is an admin going to issue a ruling? Thanks, Enigmaman (talk) 09:06, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Oldham Loop mapTemplate:Oldham Loop map

The result of the debate was delete. WjBscribe 20:32, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Unnecessary redirect remaining in Article space after moving template to template space. Also nominating Oldham loop mapTivedshambo (talk) 12:04, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Looking at it, for conformity I would expect the following:

None of the redirects need or should exist. —Sladen (talk) 19:49, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
