- Delete. Wikipedia is not a bureaucracy and as such if this redirect made sense we would keep it even if it was created in bad faith. However, this insulting nickname is not mentioned in this biography of a living person, so it should go. BigNate37(T) 21:05, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- Comment. The user who created this redirect also added nonsense to the Dave Bautista page and then removed it 4 minutes later. This user also blanked his talk page removing the notice about "Black Lesnar" from it. Ken S. 21:16, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- Please stop reporting what that user did—it makes no difference (the exception being if this redirect qualifies for CSD G5). As I stated above, we discuss redirects at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion. The redirect's creator's other actions on Wikipedia are irrelevant. BigNate37(T) 21:59, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Argumentum ad chewbaccum → Chewbacca defense
It's a joke neologism meaning "appeal to Chewbacca" coined by a Wikipedian during an old AFD debate in reference to a joke about Johnnie Cochran on South Park. Patent nonsense not suitable for an encyclopedia. --Pixelface 15:17, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

No reason for creation, created by number/date spammer. (I just deleted about 100 of his number/date spam articles and/or redirects, and that only covers last week.) - Keep. These redirects make sense to me—whether I'd suggest creating them for every month in existence or not is another story, but I see no reason to delete these and they prevent duplicate article creation and help avoid accidental linking. BigNate37(T) 14:56, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Wp:france → Wikipedia:WikiProject France
This is a non-conform shortcut since it is not in capitals and as per Wikipedia:Shortcut#List_of_prefixes, it should be avoided. It already has a counterpart, WP:FRANCE, and is therefore obselete. ChrisDHDR ( • contrib's) 08:29, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

User:Karin Spaink → Karin Spaink
Cross-namespace redirect from a user page. This user should rather just place something like "I am Karin Spaink" on their user page, rather than redirecting it to an encyclopaedia article. Melsaran 22:28, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- Weak keep. I'm inclined to allow this sort of CNR, despite my distaste of them. We offer users a lot of freedom when it comes to userpages, and I am a proponent of doing so. Wikipedia:User page doesn't specifically forbid making your userpage a redirect and as long as the redirect isn't confusing we should allow this. Having said that, allowing a redirect to the mainspace makes it harder for another user to reach the user's talk page, hence the weak in my recommendation. BigNate37(T) 22:39, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
