Wiki143:Editor review/Siva1979
User:Siva1979
Script error: No such module "user". I have been editing for Wikipedia since 6 January 2006. I would like to have feedback on the quality of edits I have made for this project. I have over 8,000 edits and have created numerous articles about English football clubs. I have taken part in 2 RfAs and success in them was limited. I would like to enquire what other editors of Wikipedia think of me and any constructive criticism is most welcome and appreciated. I would also like to be a all-rounder for this project and not concentrate solely on editing football articles. I would also like to have your feedback on the appropriate time to run for my third RfA. Is after 2 months a good time-frame or 3 months would be the most ideal period? Thank You for your feedback. --Siva1979Talk to me 22:25, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

- I too know how you feel, having a similar amount of edits and a month more experience and failing three RfAs, however your judgement worries me. Also, you seem as if you are working to become an admin - this I've learned, from experience, is not the best policy - but contributing and seeing when you are ready is best. - Well, I wish to thank you for your encouraging comments. I guess I would have to take things slow and steady. Thus, I would have to read ALL policies and guidelines very carefully and have a comprehensive knowledge about them as well. I also agree with you that my judgements are mostly POV and they do not necessary follow these policies and guidelines to the letter. I will take note of this seriously and provide much more better answers for my next RfA. On a personal note, the reason why I would like to become an admin is to provide a much more broader contribution to this project. As I am very dedicated to improve the quality of this project, I must admit that I may be too eager to become an admin so soon to receive the additional tools. Adminship, as I have come to realize, IS a big deal. --Siva1979Talk to me 03:59, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
- You are wrong. Adminship is no big deal - but that works two ways Computerjoe's

- Well, then I could not be wrong in absolute terms about this. In any case, if adminship is no big deal, why do most users fail their RfA despite having more than 3,000 edits. This could be an indicator that the majority of users view adminship as a big deal. --Siva1979Talk to me 22:25, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
- I failed my RfA partly as I saw it as a big deal. The way you are acting now shows you believe that. Computerjoe's talk 17:44, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

Questions
- Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- I have been pleased in removing red-link soccer articles in the English football league system table considerably. I have also improved the quality of some of these articles by adding images to them. Granted, most of these articles are currently stubs but other users have expanded on them. I guess, I have to say that I started the ball rolling by creating these articles.
- Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- I have not been in any major conflicts over editing in the past. In the future, if there is any conflict, I would strive to remain civil in my comments and not lose my head by negative remarks. I would also take the effort to view the other party's POV as well and acknowledge their comments. In this way, many users who are in conflict with my edits would also not lose their cool. This would indeed diffuse any tension that may arise considerably.
