Discussion

Why was this bot put directly into trials? Betacommand (talkcontribsBot) 09:43, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Sorry. Botz 17:26, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

See now I see no reason to get snippy about this. Many interwiki bots don't even bother to get approval here or don't know to. It's been pretty standard practice for interwiki bots to work for a while without approval and to later get speedy approval anyway. It's a formality to determine if a bot flag is necessary, which it usually is for these types of edits. I don't fault anyone for not being familar with the bot approval process here. Simple mistake. In addition, the bot immediately stopped when the complaint above was made, demonstrating good faith.

File:Symbol keep vote.svg Speedily Approved (interwiki bot). This bot is approved to run with a bot flag without need for a trial period. It already has a bot flag on the fr wikipedia and I looked at a sample of the edits so far and everything checked out. It should be run manually assisted always, as specified above. -- RM 04:20, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
