Iran and nuclear weapons

This article is a direct cut and paste of the Nuclear weapons section from Iran and weapons of mass destruction. The author claims that adding another section about Israel's stance to the cut-and-pasted material justifies a stand-alone article. Even that material is mainly a cut-and-paste from the Stance towards Israel section of Nuclear_program_of_Iran#Since_2000. This page adds nothing new to Wikipedia and should be deleted to avoid compromising the quality of existing articles. --Dave 04:06, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

  • Comment. Ideally, a "X and nuclear weapons" page can be used as an excuse to cut down lengthy sections within other articles (such as Nuclear weapons and the United States, compared with the nuclear section in United States and weapons of mass destruction). I do think that the nuclear section of Iran and WMD is a bit long for one article, and if it were shortened to a brief summary ("Iran doesn't have nukes, US and others have accused it of maybe having a development program, Iran has denied this, etc.") then this page would be just fine. --Fastfission 20:18, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
