Wald (Script error: No such module "IPA".) is a municipality in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden in Switzerland.

Of this area, 66% is used for agricultural purposes, while 28.4% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 5.4% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (0.1%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains).[1]
