Thanks for your message regarding the Olympics page. I was simply trying to follow WP:MOS, which is typically pretty authoritative. However, if there is precedent for using the "official" name rather than the most common English name in the header, then perhaps the change should be made. However, to avoid confusion and gain consensus, I think you should start a thread at Talk:2006 Winter Olympics that basically says what you left on my talk page, and we'll figure it out from there. Thanks again for your help, and I apologize for any confusion. EWS23 | (Leave me a message!) 20:48, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
- Update: Your comments about this page combined with other discussions have led us to change all of the Olympics introductions to include both the "common name" and the official name. Thanks for your comments, and keep up the good work! EWS23 | (Leave me a message!) 03:42, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
