Disambiguation link notification for December 21

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Dixie Tan, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tan. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Halimah Yacob

Can you include in her infobox that she's a Dr.

Actually there are clear rules discouraging that. Even Dr Martin Luther King does not have that in his infobox. Zhanzhao (talk) 10:41, 7 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

I agree with Zhanzhao, as per Wikipedia's style guide (link given by Zhanzhao in the above reply). If even Elizabeth II doesn't get the prefix "Queen" in her infobox, I don't see how to justify Halimah Yacob having a prefix. Sue (talk) 11:43, 7 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of OpenCable

Notice

The article OpenCable has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Subject matter is only questionably notable, and the only source linked here (the official website of Open Cable) was a redirect to a Cable TV advisory company - seems like that website hasn't been active for a long time, so I've removed it. Additionally, there is not a single reference to Open Cable on the CableLabs website itself. It seems like it hasn't been referred to as "open cable" since 2008, and has become better known as Tru2Way (https://dvb.org/news/ocap-becomes-tru2way/), so I propose that the existing WP article for Tru2Way covers everything that needs to be covered on WP.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the Template:Tlc notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing Template:Tlc will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 09:00, 29 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
