P.S. One last helpful hint. To sign your posts like I did above (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).

Re: Maple "if ~ fi" & "do ~ od" versus "if ~ endif" & "do ~ end do" constructs

I notice that you contributed to the maple code sample. Maybe we should keep the strange if ~ fi & do ~ od contructs as they seem more commonly used and more typical of maple code.

eg. When I did a google on the various contructs I find that typically (at least for maple code found by google) the if ~ fi & do ~ od construct is much more typical of maple code then the if ~ endif & do ~ end do contruct. (Pls forgive the following crude comparison using google AND bear in mind that I am not actually a maple user).

• Google Results 1 - 10 of about 81,800 for maple proc if then fi do od. eg [1]
• Google Results 1 - 10 of about 12,900 for maple proc do end-do if then end-if. eg [2]

It appears classic style is 4 time more common.

I would vote for the classic style. Your thoughts?

Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Spam in MaplePrimes
