Edit summaries

Hi, Quietust. Please, tone down the 'scalawag'-calling in your edit summaries (e.g., at "Star Trek"). Thanks! President Lethe 04:34, 22 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thanks for the message correcting my reference to SCUMMVM and officially supported platforms. I took a look at the SCUMMVM page (scummvm.org and realized my mistake. I wonder how hard it would be for them to release an official binary for the GP2X and add it as a supported system. Sigh... Michaeljustman 09:26, 1 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks

Thanks for catching that Tajikstan vandalism! --Dpr 17:29, 30 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Data duplication

Even if we assume good faith and he is the original author, there is still the question of copyright. If I write something while employed I do not own the copyright. So we have to tag as a copyvio I think, until permission is given. There's the equal issue of this being original research, and not published anywhere else. So he can't just copy it to WP anyway, it needs to be published and then referenced here. --Steve (Stephen) talk 22:50, 2 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Content

I was removing content that violated WP:BLP. See my edit summary. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by AlexaHughes (talkcontribs) 2007-04-09 10:37:47.

  • No problem at all. Ya sorry I realized immediately after pressing edit I forgot the edit summary, I went to add in right afterwards. Have a good day!

Neopets For Sale

Just so you are aware, an anon user just tried taking out the speedy deletion tag you put on "Neopets for sale". I agree, it is spam. I know I should assume good faith, but I suspect this might be a sockpuppet of babygurl, given the short time between you putting the tag on and the anon user taking it off, so I reverted the edit. HiImPhil

Is it just me or do Special:Contributions/209.112.189.130 and Special:Contributions/HiImPhil look kind of similar, especially the diffs from today. I think you've had more contact with the guy than I have - any thoughts on him possibly logging out and just doing what he was doing anyway? ...adam... Apologies

Just a message to apologise about alterations to tangerine article. My 13 year old son has a strange sense of humour and altered when I was on a break.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention Quietust. He has been duly disciplined.

Happy wikking! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by ilovewales (talkcontribs).

Vandalism and user names

I thank you for using my username in your edit summaries, because "Standaloneer" was the coolest name I could find that was not used by someone else on Wikipedia. I would choose Cyph3r or Moonshine as my username if I could. Know any cool usernames? (with numbers or without)? I usually edit with my IP address, but as you have noticed, I also made some test edits a few months ago with this account. I will not do that again. Thank you. Standaloneer (talk) 12:49, 19 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Where are you? :) Standaloneer (talk) 21:58, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well. have you left Wikipedia or not? I m still waiting for you to answer. Standaloneer (talk) 11:14, 30 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Okay, do whatever you want. I'm not contributing with this user name anymore. Standaloneer (talk) 11:27, 20 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
