List of Boy Scouts
Hi, I was wondering what your reasons were for moving the Boy Scouts lists from Associations to Civic Organizations...a category that doesn't exist? As far as I know the Boy Scouts aren't a civic organization. Also why add to the state culture category? They aren't normally considered part of culture either... I was going to start moving them back but figured I would ask first.Sortior 03:08, Dec 8, 2004 (UTC)
Civic organizations and Boy Scouts
Hi again, I think it is best to not have Boy Scouts in Civic organizations, or in culture for that fact. Civic organizations are few and mean by definition belonging to a city, not to a state. As to culture, while maybe there is an arguement that Boy Scouts as a whole belong to American Culture, I don't think they belong at the state level. I think Associations of State is best for the Scouts, along with Boy Scouts of America as well, I don't think they need to be in any other category, unless we create a Youth organization by State...but I am open to suggestions. Would you be open to make this uniform across all the Boy Scouts lists? Thanks! Sortior 04:55, Dec 12, 2004 (UTC)
- your solution sounds great Thanks! Sortior 18:03, Dec 12, 2004 (UTC)

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.
For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.
Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:07, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
