Welcome to Wikipedia!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Lionni! I'm Celestianpower. I noticed that you were new and/or have yet to receive any messages so I just thought I'd pop in to say "hello". Hello. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it's so big but we won't bite so Be Bold and get what you know down in microchips! If you do make a mistake, that's fine, we'll assume good faith and just correct you: it'll take a few seconds maximum! Here, however, are a few links to get you started:

There are lots of policies and guidelines to get to grips with but they all make your life easier and your stay more fun in the long run. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or add Template:Tl to your userpage - someone will come very, very quickly to your aid. Please be sure to sign your posts on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, along with a link to your user page. This way, others know when you left a message and how to find you. It's easier than having to type out your name, right? ;)

I hope you enjoy contributing to Wikipedia. We can use all the help we can get! Have a great time, all the best, sayonara and good luck! --Celestianpower talk 15:44, 2 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Pallars Sobirà

At Pallars Sobirà, what is your reference for 2005 population? IDESCAT (for which I fixed the link) doesn't have anything more recent than 2001. -- Jmabel | Talk 00:26, 14 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Hi, my reference is the I. N. E. (Instituto Nacional de Estadística, http://www.ine.es).

Greetings,

--Lionni 06:44, 14 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Great! Please remember to site your sources, especially on stuff like statistics, where it is so easy to make typographical errors. -- Jmabel | Talk 06:58, 14 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Mucho gusto

No estoy tan seguro como decir ese en Espanol, pero la pagina por Asun Balzola ya esta copyedited. Suerte, --Kenneth M Burke 19:55, 30 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

I was thinking . . . after looking it up, my assumption was that the Lazarillo Prize is for illustrations; but, if there happens to be different categories for the prize and Balzola won the prize for some other reason, then it should be corrected on the page. Do you know whether or not she won the prize for illustrations? --Kenneth M Burke 02:43, 31 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

File:Information.svg Hello Lionni! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 0 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the Template:Tl tag. Here is the article:

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 21:27, 14 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Catalan Culture Challenge

I've seen on your userpage that you speak Catalan: From March 16 to April 15 we will be organising the Catalan Culture Challenge, a Wikipedia editing contest in which victory will go to those who start and improve the greatest number of articles about 50 key figures of Catalan culture. You can take part by creating or expanding articles on these people in your native language (or any other one you speak). We look forward to seeing you!
