Editing pages in the User: namespace
Hi Kidburla,
Regarding editing pages in the User: namespace, there's a strong social convention against doing it unnecessariliy, but there's no reason to bar it technically. I've fixed typos that lead to bad URLs on User: pages; when people have drifted away or stormed off from wikipedia, sometimes people edit the User: profile to give some background. It's not a big deal. If somebody were vandalizing people's pages, we'd all see it on recent changes and revert. DanKeshet
Signature
One tip: You can edit your preferences (click "Preferences" at the top) to sign articles "--Kidburla2002". Then you can type in the ~ character three times in a row, and it will sign your articles with a link to your homepage. DanKeshet

Replaceable fair use Image:GSK-Setlers.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:GSK-Setlers.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add Template:Tlx, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 16:23, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
I don't know if you've seen this article, but would you stop by the AfD page Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/SocialPicks to offer your opinion on whether the article subject is notable? Thanks. Dimension31 (talk) 00:25, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
Your addition to The Apprentice (UK Series Four)
As I have stated on the talk page, the reason this has been reverted is because nothing in the video you claim as a "source" actually states Alex is the project manager. From the looks of it, he is, but we work on verifiabilty and not assumptions. If you can find a credible source which clearly states he is the project manager then feel free to re-add it. AfD nomination of AnJ
I have nominated AnJ, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/AnJ. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. RfD nomination
Hi there, just to let you know, there was an entry for Ethan Kanin at the Minor characters page. I've recently removed a section from that page, so some of the redirects need to be fixed. I'll take care of it soon. Would you mind closing your nomination? Best, Steve Crossin Talk/24 00:37, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
The article Setlers has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable brand of calcium carbonate about which we have an article.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the Template:Tl notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing Template:Tl will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ἀνυπόδητος (talk) 16:41, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for File:Frd48.gif
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Frd48.gif. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 19:24, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for November 10
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937 film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Once Upon A Time (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Tokyo Disney Resort, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Frozen and Big Hero 6 (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Select Survey Invite
I'm working on a study of political motivations and how they affect editing. I'd like to ask you to take a survey. The survey should take no more than 1-2 minutes. Your survey responses will be kept private. Our project is documented at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Wikipedia_%2B_Politics.
Your survey Link: https://uchicago.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9S3JByWf57fXEkR?Q_DL=56np5HpEZWkMlr7_9S3JByWf57fXEkR_MLRP_9p4ckCkcCIoKtBH&Q_CHL=gl
I am asking you to participate in this study because you are a frequent editor of pages on Wikipedia that are of political interest. We would like to learn about your experiences in dealing with editors of different political orientations.
Sincere thanks for your help! Porteclefs (talk) 12:34, 16 April 2018 (UTC)

The article Constant multiple rule has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
This article cites no sources and while nothing is explicitly wrong perse, lots of things here are handwavy, and not anything that isn't already covered (albeit in less detail) in derivative.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the Template:Tlc notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing Template:Tlc will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Discord - Brainstorming
Would you be willing to join WP:Discord and slip over to #wpvg channel to discuss the state of List of Nintendo Switch games (A-C)? Need to ponder and brainstorm a bit on how to handle this, as the current situation is untenable, and chat may be quicker and easier to reach something we put together to present to talk page. -- ferret (talk) 22:18, 26 October 2021 (UTC)

The Switch game lists
Despite being primary, the Nintendo website is a reliable source for what Nintendo has on their console. Furthermore, you have violated 3RR by reverting me so many times. I plan on taking this to dispute resolution unless you stop. Please cease and desist. QuicoleJR (talk) 22:34, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
- Template:Re Yes the Nintendo website is a reliable source. I don't think I have disputed that; which edit are you referring to? If you are referring to any case where the Nintendo website was cited without a corresponding notability source then the revert was valid as a primary source does not establish notability. I will not "cease and desist", I will continue to revert any edits which are not in line with the established consensus. Kidburla (talk) 23:01, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
- I just saw the warning on the talk page, and I would like to apologize. Sorry, Kidburla. QuicoleJR (talk) 23:02, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
- Template:Re No worries, apology accepted. I hope we can work together going forward to improve Wikipedia, within the bounds of the community consensus! Kidburla (talk) 23:05, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
- Template:Re PS: I've just realised you are probably referring to Special:Diff/1145764857 I made a typo in my edit summary. It should have said that your edit added a game without notability source, rather than both notability and verifiability being missing - because you did indeed add a source for verifiability here. Nevertheless the revert was still valid due to notability, but I'm sorry that I additionally wrongly accused you of not putting the verifiability source. Kidburla (talk) 23:15, 20 March 2023 (UTC)

Citation overkill
It looks like you're responsible, in part, for the citation overkill at List of Nintendo Switch games (0–9 and A) (and other articles, presumably). Please don't add so many citations just to prove that a game was release on a console. It seriously bloats the size of the page and slows down editing. One citation to a reliable source is good enough. If you're trying to establish notability for a video game on a list page, please keep in mind that notability is based on the existence of suitable sources, not how many sources are listed somewhere. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 00:57, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- Template:Re You are referring to edits made over multiple years, which were in response to community consensus that evolved over time. Prior to November 2021, the list had separate columns for the JP, NA and EU release dates, and required verifiability sources for each region, along with a notability source. Since November 2021, there is only one release date per game, so it's only necessary to verify that date and establish notability. However, many games have citations established under the previous process which were correctly added at the time but are now redundant. Nobody has taken the time to remove these, so they are still present. I notice you have also removed a notability source for a game which now does not have one. The source would still have been needed to establish notability as per community consensus, as it was agreed that existing indiscriminate databases are not sufficient to establish notability and can only be used for verifiability. However in this particular case it's fine to leave as-is, as the game has its own Wikipedia article, which itself establishes notability. Kidburla (talk) 20:21, 12 June 2023 (UTC)
