Linking to user page articles
Hello. Just to let you know for future reference that you should avoid linking to user subpages from Wikipedia articles (as per WP:USER), as you did with User:Gregorytopov/Stanley Random Chess from List of games with concealed rules. Thanks. --McGeddon 21:37, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you for the notice; I was unaware of this policy. However, I must say I can not find the part of WP:USER that states this. Can you give me the section name/number? Thanks. --Jjamison 15:15, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
- It contains the sentence "one should never create links from a mainspace article to any userpage". If someone's copied an article into their user space because it was deleted as unencyclopaedic, we shouldn't carry on linking to it as if it was a real article, otherwise there was no point in deleting it. --McGeddon 15:42, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
- Okay I now see the "Copies of other pages" section. Thank you! --Jjamison 15:51, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
