Alright, my idea wasn't to be threatening. Ya just kept editing the damn thing without talking it over much and it was being debated. Anyway, I dun really care now. I just want to debate this a bit and we can do all the editing after we've reached some kind of collective conclusion.
Some things I wanted to talk to you about:
I'll see if I can pick up a more pro-Stalin book (at least one not written by Conquest) in a few days.
It should be noted that almost nothing I recommend is "pro-Stalin." Just so you know, I am not "pro-Stalin" either. Granick, author of the Red Executive, is quite "bourgeois." His book is still very good though.
I'd like to think I'm willing to research a subject without bias or political dogma getting into my way. I had an extremely anti-Soviet bias going into the subject. I'd like to think it's gone now.
BTW, what's yor take on the Encyclopedia_of_Marxism
The Encyclopedia of Marxism is openly Trotskyist so of course they're "anti-Stalin" -- not that it really matters. The site has made some improvements though and it's not a bad place to look for texts from various well known communists and Socialists.

Guppie,
I'm going to ask you nicely to remove the reference to Robert Conquest on the Soviet history page or else I will add some material in from pro-Stalin sources. This is because Robert Conquest is highly biased and I am doing my best to maintain a balance in the area of Soviet history. I will gladly call his credibility into question and prove he is one of the most unreliable sources available if you wish. We can have it either way.
Thanks, --Eco
Eco, Guppie is within his rights to add anti-Stalin sources. Please don't make veiled threats. If this edit war persists, it will eventually come to the attention of Jimbo, and he might not be as patient this time. Me? I'm nobody, just another poor guy trying to help make the world's best free encyclopedia. But let's try to be constructive here.
It's fairly well known that Stalin led the Soviet Union in killing tens of millions of people for political reasons. It should not be TOO hard to document these mass murders in Wikipedia style.
Guppie, since you probably know more Russian or Soviet history than I do, please continue as you have been. I will add this page to my watchlist and invite the attention of other old hands, and see if we can stop the historical revisionism before it gets too frustrating for you. --Ed Poor
Eco, let's try to keep this on a professional and polite level. I added the Robert Conquest reference to back up my statements, and you are more than welcome to back up yours with pro-Stalin sources, as I see you've done on Talk:History_of_the_Soviet_Union. I admit I've only read main-stream Western history books + Conquest and Solzhenitsyn about Stalin and the Gulag, so I might have a certain bias. I suggest we both gather some more backed-up facts on the talk page, and then let someone ELSE edit the article itself. --Guppie
I found your invitation (looong time ago) to help with history of Yugoslavia, but I simply do not dare to touch so hot topic. Goran
Another editor has added the Template:Tl template to the article Satellite state, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the Template:Tl template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. - You received this notification because you made a redirect from that title to "Spacedaily", then somebody moved the page by cut and paste to its current title.
