Administrative divisions of Kaliningrad Oblast
Hi there! The administrative divisions are a concept distinct from that of the municipal divisions, although it is true that many municipal divisions are formed within the borders of the administrative divisions. The latter are used by the federal and oblast governments, while the former are the units of local self-government. And while in Kaliningrad Oblast the main differences between the two can only be observed below the district level, putting up an overview map of municipal divisions and labeling it "administrative" is still a bad idea. Ideally, of course, the article should cover both aspects (and be renamed after that), in a manner similar to one used in this article, but so far there have been no takers for this (rather daunting) task.
There is a brief explanation of both aspects in the subdivisions of Russia article (see the sections titled "administrative divisions" and "municipal divisions"), and you can also peruse the Adygea article I linked to above, since the idea behind the differences is the same across all of the federal subjects of Russia. Hope this helps. Don't hesitate to let me know if anything still needs clarification, or if you have questions after reading those two articles. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Polish Corridor, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kashubian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Question
Your inclusion of a map by Walter Kuhn as well as your interest in the article on the Polish corridor looks very familiar. Are you User:Kaiser von Europa? If not, do you have other accounts (I note you've been banned on other wikis for extensive sock puppeting [1]). Volunteer Marek (talk) 02:06, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
- Nope, I'm not that other user. Der Eberswalder (talk) 17:22, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
About your Third Opinion request
I'm a regular volunteer at 3O and I've re-removed it. Even though you may feel that MyMoloboaccount's was not neutral (I express no opinion about that: it may have been, it may not have been), it was nonetheless a third opinion. The 3O project is only for disputes in which there are two editors involved. The subsequent participation by a third editor is, thus, both a third opinion and a Third Opinion. See my essay on the Third Opinion Paradox for a very similar situation. If you still desire content dispute resolution, consider Dispute Resolution Noticeboard, request for comments, or Mediation. An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Republic of China-Nanjing. Since you had some involvement with the Republic of China-Nanjing redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. - Champion (talk) (contribs) (Formerly TheChampionMan1234) 00:57, 5 September 2016 (UTC)

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you Template:Usertalk other edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Rsk6400 (talk) 09:08, 12 February 2025 (UTC)
- OK, will do. Good idea with the prompt. Der Eberswalder (talk) 09:13, 12 February 2025 (UTC)
- And please remember that claims have to be sourced. You may search the archives of Talk:Germans for all the discussions we had about the definition of Germans as an ethnic group. No sources to support that claim came up during those discussions. Rsk6400 (talk) 13:05, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- The source was already in. I added definition c of that source, which states:

c
- one whose native language is German and who is a native of a country other than Germany
- Why do you need to revert all of it?
Der Eberswalder (talk) 13:08, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- You are edit warring, once again. There are three problems with your edit: 1) Your quote doesn't support your claim that Germans are an ethnic group. 2) Even if it would, why choose one of several definitions ? 3) An ethnic-biological understanding of Germanness is rejected by the German judiciary and by all relevant political parties, including AfD. I suggest you self-revert. Rsk6400 (talk) 14:07, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- You really want to claim that Germans are NOT an ethnic group? Would you also claim that Poles, Romanians, Italians are not an ethnic group? I am not angry, that capitalized NOT is there to express how ridiculous I find the notion that Germans are not an ethnic group. BTW common sense and legal matters are quite often at odds with each other. Der Eberswalder (talk) 17:00, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
Please read the archives of the article talk page. The topic requires better sources than a dictionary. We obviously can't make an article which insists that Austrians are really Germans.--Andrew Lancaster (talk) 14:49, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- Why not? Austrians were always considered to be ethnic Germans. Flemish are ethnic Dutch, Wallonians are ethnic French, Moldavians are ethnic Romanians, Mazedonians are ethnic Bulgarians. It happens quite a lot that some ethnic groups are residing in several states. Der Eberswalder (talk) 17:01, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
