Welcome!

File:Sephiroth.gif Hello, Dark glaive, Welcome to Wikipedia!
I hope you like working here and want to continue. If you need help on how to name new articles, look at Naming Conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the Manual of Style. If you need general help, look at Help and the FAQ, and if you can't find your answer there, check the Village pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions). There's still more help at the Tutorial and the Policy Library. Also, don't forget to visit the Community Portal — and if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my talk page.
Additional tips:
Here are some extra tips to help you get around Wikipedia:
  • If you made any edits before you got an account, you might be interested in assigning those to your username.
  • If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills, try the Sandbox.
  • Click on the Edit button on a page, and look at how other editors did what they did.
  • You can sign your name using three tildes, like this: ~~~. If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Always sign comments on Talk pages, never sign Articles.
  • You might want to add yourself to the New User Log.
  • If your first language isn't English, try Wikipedia:Contributing to articles outside your native language.
Happy editing!

Comment on your gentoo linux edit

In the gentoo linux article you wrote: The Gentoo installation guide now recommends users to install their basic system using binary packages, instead of compiling everything from source which could take days depending on the user's system. Are you sure about this ? Can you show me where the guide says this, because it doesn't seem like 'the gentoo-way to do it' to me.

Please don't replace free images with copyrighted fair use images as when you did in Chuck Norris as it isn't allowed. Thanks Jaranda wat's sup 00:35, 8 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Edit to Suikoden II

Hi, yes, let's get rid of these "warnings". Your edit wasn't vandalism, and there's no point forcibly re-inserting these warnings against your will. However, please try and keep civil even in such circumstances, okay? -- Cheers, Fut.Perf. 05:22, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

The edit to Suikoden II wasn't v (and I never said it was). I said quote "rv, discuss on talk page". --Zeno McDohl (talk) 05:25, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Well, you used the "test" template, implying that it was vandalism. Please don't do that, as you can see here what silly escalation it can lead to. Fut.Perf. 05:34, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
I did use the test template, but that by no means indicates the edit was van. --Zeno McDohl (talk) 05:38, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Gundam SEED episode 36 Lacus Clyne 1.jpeg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Gundam SEED episode 36 Lacus Clyne 1.jpeg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Fritz S. (Talk) 14:08, 26 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

First Battle of Bull Run Vandalism

File:Stop hand nuvola.svg

This is your last warning. The next time you move a page maliciously, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.

And by this I mean your edit that replaced a page on the First Battle of Bull Run with information on a fictional book/movie. Héous 08:15, 26 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Gundam SEED Cagalli Yula Athha Episode 24 1.jpeg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Gundam SEED Cagalli Yula Athha Episode 24 1.jpeg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Farix (Talk) 18:15, 27 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
