Regarding Draft: Daniel W. Greear
Hey there, Bkissin. I'm trying to understand why my article Draft: Daniel W. Greear was rejected. Please let me know how it reads like an advertisement. Thank you [[User: tjbrown1302|tjbrown1302
Review
Hello @Bkissin, Thanks for this maintenance work on the AFC. I would like to ask you to proofread the Draft:Doctrine (startup), especially since you are fluent in French. Thx Condottiero dei tempi moderni (talk) 22:19, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
Submitting articles without going through review
Hey,
Been notified I can now submit articles without putting them through the review process. How do I do that? I have another draft I've been trying to publish but I cannot do it. How many edits do I have to make to publish and assess articles on the review site?
Thanks Electricsnake247 (talk) 14:43, 16 January 2025 (UTC)

Nautica Malone
Hi Bkissin. Could you take a look at Nautica Malone? You were the last to review the page when it was still a draft and you declined it. Another user then moved it to the mainspace a few days later. I'm not sure how AfC reviewers handle such things. If your concerns were addressed, then maybe the article is OK. If not, then maybe WP:DRAFTIFY is an option. If you do draftify it though, please remove the infobox image because non-free content can't be used in drafts per WP:NFCC#9 and also disable the categories. You might want also post on the user talk page of the user who moved the draft in addition to the user who created the page because the former appears to be a new account who might not understand what you did. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:59, 3 February 2025 (UTC)
- LOL usually AfC reviewers handle it by saying "Huh, well, F' me I guess!" I would probably PROD or AfD it. If it can survive AfD, then it's probably fine to stay. Bkissin (talk) 14:50, 3 February 2025 (UTC)
- There's another article titled Suicide of Nautica Malone, which might make one of the two a candidate for a merge. Anyawy, thanks again for taking a look at this one. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:34, 4 February 2025 (UTC)
- Never mind my last post. It appears that someone moved "Nautica Malone" to "Suicide of Nautica Malone" and has been working on it. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:42, 4 February 2025 (UTC)
Nick's Kitchen Inquiry
Hi Bkissin.
I recently submitted a request to create a page for Nick's Kitchen. Unfortunately it was rejected. I was wondering if you might kindly be willing to discuss this further so that we can make sure we have a mutually clear understanding of how to move forward. I would be eager to chat with you more if you can kindly message me. Thank you! FoodContentEditor (talk) 19:40, 10 February 2025 (UTC)
- Hi FoodContentEditor. Keep in mind there is a difference between a draft being rejected versus being declined. A draft being declined means that the draft is still not ready for the mainspace for a variety of reasons and gives the editor in question a chance to make those changes. A draft being rejected means that there is no amount of work that would make the draft able to make it to the mainspace. I declined your draft.
- Now, that being said, there are a number of reasons why I did so:
- The draft in its current form, reads like an advertisement for the channel, which is not the point of Wikipedia. If you are being paid by Nick DiGiovanni (or are Nick DiGiovanni) and were hoping to use the article as advertising, this is probably not the place for it.
- An article for Nick DiGiovanni already exists. I'm not sure why his Youtube Channel needs a separate article at this stage. Jack Douglass is a good example of that. While Douglass has multiple YT channels, none of them have their own separate article, and the article itself focuses on Douglass as a creator, rather than his channels.
- You're welcome to try to retool the Nick's Kitchen draft and see if you can fix what's wrong with it if you want. I probably won't look at it again, so if you resubmit it, you'll have to see if another reviewer decides to look at it. Otherwise, you could look at alternatives to Wikipedia like Wikitubia (which is articles about youtubers), continue to work on the Nick DiGiovanni article that exists (though if you have a conflict of interest with Nick DiGiovanni, you may have you request edits on the talk page), or write articles about other types of food or cooking. I can connect you with other editors or projects that are interested in cooking and food around the world that you could work with. Best of luck. Bkissin (talk) 19:59, 10 February 2025 (UTC)
- Hey Bkissin,
- Thanks for the nice article. I am Nick's brother and trying to help him get this page live as I am an avid user of Wikipedia and I think given that this is his version of what Hell's Kitchen is to Gordon Ramsay, it deserves its own space on the platform. I can understand how this might appear at first glance as just a side channel, but it is an entirely new approach, content niche, audience demographic, etc. Also, nowadays, YouTube is getting way more views than traditional TV anyway so while there may be a "YouTuber" stigma, realistically this channel is on its way to be hopefully larger than traditional enterprises, as Nick's entertainment side already receives more views in a month than Masterchef does in yearly viewership. I say that only to contextualize why this is really its own "empire" basically separate from Nick in a sense with the focus on food.
- All that being said, I totally understand that I may have a bias. While I think this page should exist on its own and be linked out from the Nick DiGiovanni page, I do not want to be biased nor do I want to make it sound like an advertisement beyond stating facts. You were very kind to offer connecting me with editors in the food / cooking space. If one of them would be interested in chatting and possibly helping me re-edit this page for resubmission to remove any bias, better adapt it for Wikipedia's rules, etc that would be much appreciated!
- Please let me know!
- Thanks, FoodContentEditor (talk) 18:01, 12 February 2025 (UTC)
- FoodContentEditor, I'm going to remove your name and personal phone number from this page for a couple reasons.
- I'm not going to call
- I don't want you to doxx yourself and have someone else call you pretending to be me.
- Template:Ping, Template:Ping Could you work with User:FoodContentEditor here to suggest other food related topics he could edit? Thank you. Bkissin (talk) 16:09, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
- Hey, Bkissin, thanks for the ping. From the sources, the subject just doesn't appear to be notable at this time. @FoodContentEditor, what we need to see are three instances of wp:sigcov in wp:rs that are wp:independent, at least two of which are outside the local area/outside niche publications. The sources currently in the draft do seem to qualify. Valereee (talk) 18:37, 19 February 2025 (UTC)

Draft:Faehlmann, Rudolf
Hi Bkissin,
Can you please help us understand what we need to add to the draft to get it final? Most info comes from the book Mein Leben which is referenced with ISBN number. There is also a link to the book in the Estonian National Library in the text.
Faehlmann, Rudolf is posted on Swedish Wikipedia since many years. Tros Marineros (talk) 15:08, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
Draft:John Rager Farmhouse
Forgot to reply. There's limited coverage, but the best I could reasonably find is this book from 2008 describing the farmhouse. The article is inherently reliant on the NRHP website, though. Nahida 🌷 04:13, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
Draft:Springdale Jr-Sr High School (Pennsylvania)
Dear Bkissin,
I see you declined my draft about my local high school recently and your reasoning is valid. Honestly, I am truly grateful for the feedback. Nevertheless I'm very determined for this draft to get published, as it's been about two years since I started it. I was hoping you could have some way of helping me through this, whether it's suggesting words to not use, or reconstructing full sentences. Like you said about the article sounding "more like an advertisement," I want this issue to be fixed. In the past, my big problems was not enough secondary sources, but now I personally feel the secondary sources I have found (news articles mostly) have been more than sufficient, so I really hope and doubt this isn't a problem. It would be greatly appreciated if you could help with any small or big problems with the article. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely, Cv822 (talk) 03:39, 9 June 2025 (UTC)
- I recently reworded several sentences and I even noticed my friend added a very promotional part about the marching band (I removed it). I'm still interested in any feedback and I will be resubmitting the article.
- Thank you, Cv822 (talk) 04:16, 9 June 2025 (UTC)
