Rien Poortvliet

(Warning auto'd - ignore it) I have a question about a page you recently edited, Rien Poortvliet. It seems there were some non-english changes you made which I almost reverted, could you explain them to me? --Draicone 13:30, 3 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

This is not a test. I was contacted by User:Tmalmjursson by IRC. This document is currently under translation and I wanted to help him. Annabelleke 13:26, 3 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thankyou for your reply. I'll make a note not to revert that article in future. --Draicone 13:30, 3 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
I have finished reading. I will ask other dutch speaking wikipedians to correct the text even further. Annabelleke 13:52, 3 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
Dear Annabelleke, Thank you so much for the work you hhave done on this article, you have sorted out some of the words that the English wikipedians could not find in the dictionary, which has made the text almost totally readable! And could you please thank the other guy on #wikipedia-nl who was talking to me, I can't remember his name. Your help has been very warmly received, and I thank you once again. OK I will let him know. Greetings, Annabelleke 08:47, 4 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Milkcap addition

Hi Annabelleke, thanks for the lactarius addition. I was just wondering how to format it to look like others - can you reorganize your original table into the series and sections and stick on the page - eventually it may format a little like this:

see list of species a ways down the page - but with common names and edibility icons attached.

(I figured it'd be easier for you as you had the original excel document.) cheers Cas Liber 22:36, 20 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

PS: If you're intetrested in fungi, you may want to cast a vote as to what fungus collaboration to work on on the Wikiproject fungi..

Hi Cas,
I'm not familiar with the guidelines used on this wikipedia (I'm mostly active on wikipedia NL). Do you want a species list where indents are used? Then I guess, it would not be so easy to add the subgenus, section and subsection to the list. If you have an other example (with this kind of information included), I may have a better idea, of what needs to be done.
If you're interested in the table, you can also drop me a line, by using the "e-mail this user" functionality. I used Quattro Pro's text functions to preformat the table as a wikitable (inserting a Dutch word where an enter should be inserted) and thereafter I used WordPerfect to do the text-replacements to enter the hard returns.

Down the page on the Banksia page above was what I'd figured. The simplest would be to re-upload your table but reorganized in sections and subsections rather than straight alphabetically (as in the banksia page above) and then I can proceed in formatting it later. cheers Cas Liber 12:55, 21 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
No problem. ;-) Annabelleke 13:15, 21 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

SPC file format

Can you incorporate this info into the spectroscopy article, or an appropriate related article? --Lexein 20:20, 17 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I will do this, as soon as I find the time. Annabel 07:48, 20 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Lactarius

Hi! I saw your contribution to the List of Lactarius species and was interested in the source of your inputs on subgenus, section and subsection. I'm starting a new wiki on Lactarius scrobiculatus and I want to make use of your information, but I also want to cite a source. I've searched the web for a suitable source to quote, but nothing comes up on this species.--Paffka 12:38, 14 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi, all information I have used can be found in a book written by Heilmann-Clausen et al. It gives an overview of the Lactarius species in Northern Europe. I added the reference to the article. Annabel 16:49, 14 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
All right. Thanks.--Paffka 19:50, 14 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

SUL

Hi! I saw that you are bureaucrat on nl.wikipedia so I need little help from you about one problem. I tried to manage my global account (SUL) but I could not do that because I realized that there are other accounts with the same name on other wikimedia projects (http://toolserver.org/~vvv/sulutil.php?user=conquistador). All these accounts are inactive, except on the Portugese Wikipedia (en.wikiquote.org, es.wikipedia.org, fr.wikipedia.org, ja.wikipedia.org, nl.wikipedia.org, pl.wikipedia.org, pt.wikipedia.org, tr.wikipedia.org, zh.wikipedia.org). There is one account that was edited and filled with some data. That user has not edited his account since the 21st December 2005, the same day he opened his account. Furthermore, he has made only 5 edits in total. I opened my account on the Croatian Wikipedia on the 3rd May 2005 and I have made 1128 edits since then. According to Help:SUL I have the superior claim on this username, so I am asking you if you could help me in merging these accounts with mine, so I could have global account. Thanking you in advance. --Conquistador (talk) 01:58, 10 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi Conquistador, I've usurped the account on the Dutch wikidia. Kind regards, Annabel (talk) 14:17, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Structures

I am sure that your additions are very well-intended, but I am unsure what kind of message you are trying to send. But what you are showing do not exist except in outer space. When was the last time you saw a naked Be2+ ion? This situation has been discussed previously in Chem-wikipedia. It might be fun if you slowed down your drawing business and talk some.--Smokefoot (talk) 20:10, 12 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi Smokefoot, I was not aware of any discussion on this topic. I have nowhere shown a single ion or atom in the drawings, the combination of both ions is expressed with the rectangular brackets. So, as far as I know, this is the most elementary way of showing the molecular structure (off course it would be better to show a cristallographic image of a cell, but I do not have these). Anyhow, I would be happy if you can point me to the discussion on this topic. Regards, Annabel (talk) 21:08, 12 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
Here's the deal: these materials are 3-D polymers with very strong M-O bonds. In solution, the cations are highly solvated (I dont know the coordination numbers). Be2+ exists in water as an oxocluster, I recall. Naked dications dont exist except in mass spectrometer champers, the ultra-high vacuum of the interstellar medium. So the way you depict these complex materials is a form of misinformation. I realize that this perspective comes across as highly pedantic (or worse), but we aim to tell readers that physical reality is much more complicated that many might otherwise think. Check out sodium chloride, ferrous chloride, caesium oxide, etc.--Smokefoot (talk) 21:23, 12 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
Hi, I never said this is the 3D structure (it is a solid ;-) ), only it was the best impression that could be given for both ions in a crystal structure. However, as you requested, I have reverted my changes. Regards, Annabel (talk) 21:35, 12 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
