When he first arrived in Mississauga, he attended elementary school at Homelands Senior Public School for grades 7 and 8. He then moved on to Erindale Secondary School for grades 9 - 13. He was able to finish high school in 4 years and moved on to university at University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
He worked as an Macintosh Software Engineer from January 1989 - 1998 while living in Toronto and Chicago, and moved back to Hong Kong in January 1990 where he still lives.
He labels himself as a true Technology Versatilist. Able to quickly adapt to new technologies and be fluent in them as they become available for various different industries. In the past he has assisted companies, where he was employed, to exploit up and coming technologies in ways that the technologies were not originally intended.
