Hey there! I got a couple of questions for my software engineering homework but I can't seem to find an answer. Could you please give me a hand? The questions are from Ian Summerville's "Software Engineering, 6th Edition". These
are the questions:
1) Using reported instances of project problems in the literature, list management difficulties which occurred in these failed programming projects (Start with Brook's book "The Mythical Man-Month", as suggested in Further Reading.)
2) In addition to the figure bellow, identify six other possible risks which are likely to arise in software projects.
| Risk type | Possible risks |
| Technology | The database used in the system cannot process as many transactions
per second as expected. Software components which should be reused contain defects which limit their functionality |
| People | It's impossible to recruit staff which the skills required. Key staff are ill and unavailable at critical times. |
| Organizational | The organization is restructured so that different management are
responsible for the project. Organizational financial problem force reductions in the project budget |
| Tools | the code generated by CASE tools is inefficient. CASE tools cannot be integrated. |
| Requirements | Changes to requirements which require major design rework are
proposed. Customers fail to understand the major impact of requirements changes. |
| Estimation | The time required to develop the software is underestimated. The rate of defect repair is underestimated. The size of the software is underestimated. |
