Thoughts on wikipedia

Wikipedia is successful because everyone loves to read themselves write.

Contributing to any article of political significance is a sure source of wikistress. I have seen myself gradually drifting away from political/religious/cultural articles, then away from current affairs, and then even away from theoretical physics articles. When even an inocuous topic such as Normal distribution can lead to acrimonious discussions on talk pages, I am just about ready to give up on Wikipedia.

After the March 11, 2004 Madrid attacks I realized staying away from the clamor of the boetians just wasn't going to work, but that one must pick one's battles wisely.

My contributions

All my contributions up to 2005 April 15 are licensed under whatever the default licence for wikipedia was.

All my contributions after 2005 April 15 and until further notice are multi-licensed under the default wikipedia license and the Creative Commons licence Attribution-ShareAlike 2.0.
