Lamics are really lousy comics frequently characterized by blah writing, not-overly-detailed greyscale (sometimes blue-and-white) panels, and plots ranging from plotless to semi-original to cliched to copied directly from a SpongeBob SquarePants episode with changed characters, lines, and certain details (though not necessarily a SpongeBob episode, it can be copied from an episode of any television show). They are a subdivision of underground comics, but not all "comix" are lamics and not all lamics could also be considered "comix".

The word "lamics" is a portmanteau of "lame" and "comics".
