About Me
My name is chinese originally spelled Mai Lin but was (incorrectly) written by my mother as Mailyn when I was born. I have 3 dogs, all strays picked up from the street (as my mom and I have a habit of doing that) and I live in Miami, Florida, USA.
However, the name Mailyn has also been given by choice as a "correct" spelled way in some cases. One example is the Brussels born Mailyn (28.01.06), who as part of a twin (with her brother Jayden) currently resides in London. She is a biological offspring of mixed Caucasian- Chinese parentage (Eurasian), with cultural links to Belgium and to the island of Penang (Malaysia). The correct pronunciation of the name is [mejlin] and it's etymiological meaning is a syntax from the words Mei and Lyn, meaning "flowery cascade".

I've always been interested in different cultures from all over the world, most notably any from Asia. A few of my favorite musicians are (in no particular order):

Movies
I love to watch movies from all over. I grew up watching mostly european, japanese, and chinese movies and as a teen I started watching korean, indian, and thai movies. I hope to be able to also watch arab movies but I've yet to find any store that has them with english subtitles.
