I'm a computer geek from Virginia. I have a MS in Mathematics with a concentration in abstract algebra. My areas of interest in computing are security, IDS, firewalls, penetration testing, spam prevention, and virus detection.

I use both Windows and Linux products, primarily Red Hat Enterprise and Fedora core. I'm not an OS zealot; I pick whatever is most useful for the task at hand. I also work with Macintosh systems regularly.
