Biography

I'm John Castle I live in Chatham, but I come from Banbury. I'm a software engineer working for a subsidary of Siemens Chatham specializing in infrastructure asset management software. My main interests are travel, computing, music and astronomy. I am involved in local politics in Medway.

Travel I have visited many countries. Outside of Europe, USA twice (Virginia and Connecticut), South Africa, India 3 times, Nepal, Australia and New Zealand. I have visited all countries in mainland Europe including Russia and the Ukraine, but I haven't visited the principalities of Andorra, Vatican city and San Marino. I have not visited Turkey or Iceland, or anywhere in the Caucuses. I have visited some of the extreme points in the the UK. For Great Britain, I have been to Land's End, Lizard Point, Lowestoft and John O'Groats. I have been to the Orkney islands, but not Shetland. I have not yet visited Northern Ireland. Unfortunately, I rarely return to places and often pass through far too quickly. I enjoy visiting new places and seeing the sights.
