About me
My main interests are in linguistics, especially in phonetics.
I live in the city of Berne in Switzerland, and so I speak the Alemannic dialect of Berne: Bernese German, which has the rare feature among Germanic languages that consonant and vowel length are independent from each other.

I have initiated the following requests for comment:
- RfC: What should the language infobox display when editors have not found any speaker figures?
- RfC: Should we continue recommending the sign ⟨ɵ⟩?
- Should we use Austrian (or Swiss) Standard German pronunciation for topics related to Austria (or Switzerland)?
- RfC: Should we keep delimiting diaphonemic transcriptions with single slashes?
