Stubs; 1911 Encyclopaedia Britannica more complete

These articles will be mainly stubs. Note that many of the articles in Nuttall (1907) have a more complete entry in the 1911 Encyclopaedia Britannica. Eugene van der Pijll 15:07, 25 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I have updated the template so that it looks like many others and takes similar parameters.

In many cases this template is used inappropriately, because non of the current text in the Wikipedia article in which it is placed is derived from Nuttall text. In cases like that replace this template with Template:Tl -- PBS (talk) 16:53, 18 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Add Hidden category for "article name needed"

The template source code should be modified to add all articles where "article name needed" (i.e. there is no "|title=" parameter), to a Hidden category. This would make it easy for editors to find & add the missing names. — Lentower (talk) 06:27, 27 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Missing title broken?

If the title parameter is missing, the citation has no title, but the documentation says it should have a default setting. It looks as if either the template or the documentation is incorrect. Griffin is an example where the problem currently occurs. —Northernhenge (talk) 15:52, 6 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

There is no default setting for |title= nor for |wstitle=. The default 'title' applied in previous versions of this template (<span style="color:red">article name needed</span>) created a corrupt metadata output. Documentation tweaked.
