Template talk:Clemson class destroyer

Having the ships listed in order by a part of the name that isn't displayed on the template kinda makes it hard for people who aren't real familiar with US mil ships to find the one they're looking for--they have to scan the whole list. Seems like either the full name should be displayed (probably not good for template size), or re-ordered alphabetically. Niteowlneils 8 July 2005 03:30 (UTC)

This is the standard for the entire Wikipedia:WikiProject Ships, containing hundreds of templates organized by hull number Wikipedia:WikiProject Ships/footers. This discussion should probably happen on those discussion pages, since it will have ramifications across the entire project.

By the by, other lists exist (List of destroyers of the United States Navy and List of ships of the United States Navy) sorted with hull number listed and/or alphabetically. Jinian 8 July 2005 10:48 (UTC)
