Usage

This template converts a decimal expression into scientific notation.

e.g. Template:Tlx produces: Template:Rnd×10^⁴

To round to a given number of significant figures, specify this number as the second unnamed parameter:

e.g. Template:Tlx produces: ×10^⁴

For engineering notation, set |fn=eng:

e.g. Template:Tlx produces: Template:Rnd×10^³

Trailing zeros are preserved:

e.g. Template:Tlx produces: Template:Rnd×10^⁻³
