I don't understand the sentance "She starred in serveral Amos Gitai movies, to get a good review abroad (mainly if French)." Does it mean mainly French Amos Gitai movies?

In any case, French is a disambiguation page and so should link to somewhere more meaningful. Without knowing the meaning I can't change it!

For what I understand, this is a childish way to make a negative appraisal which is also aimed at Amos Gitai because of the opinions toward Israeli society that are expressed in his films and which makes them more popular abroad than at home. I think this should be corrected.
