I reverted the last edit by BGoldenberg, because traditionally we keep office boxes and peer boxes separate. john k 07:14, 25 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Consistency about the "Two Days" & "Four Days" Prime Ministers

Please see Talk:List of Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom#The Two Days & Four Days Prime Ministers for discussion about consistency on how to handle the events of February 1746 and June 1757 on the various lists on ministers and ministries. Timrollpickering 22:43, 8 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Form of address in Titles

We refer to him as His Grace The Duke of Devonshire. I can accept that. When he was a viscount, wouldn't the corresponding form of address have been His Lordship? Whatever it was, why have it for one and not the others? All or nothing, I say - I'd prefer nothing. -- JackofOz (talk) 02:35, 3 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Date and place of birth

Noticed that the profile does not include a place of birth so thought I would do a bit of digging and came across the following quote in "The prime ministers of Britain, 1721-1921: with a supplementary chapter to 1924" By Charles Clive Bigham Mersey, Viscount Charles Clive Bigham Mersey p51 - both the month and place of his birth are un-certain. See the page at Google books here [1]. Just wondering where the 8 May date comes from and if we have a place of birth. Bjmullan (talk) 20:06, 3 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

It seems he was born in London according to some sources. — Preceding unsigned comment added by GS-216.1993 (talkcontribs) 18:54, 12 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
