Folk Singer?
Folk singer... it's like calling Leonardo da Vinci a 'painter'. I saw WWB on the Old Grey Whistle Test playing a guitar through a large Marshall stack for five minutes with no trace of tune or accompaniment. Made Jimi Hendrix look understated. Didn't sound like folk singing to me...
Perhaps describe Wild Willy as an "Experimental musician and multi-instrumentalist whose interests range from a modern folk idiom through psychadelia to pop." Can anyone do better?
Sounds about right to me, although modern technology reduces the need for large Marshall stacks now.. Wildbeest (talk) 21:15, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
