Stuff

The article is incorrect, he did not play Griphook, he played the bak teller. Source: Harry Potter Page-to-Screen -KeepitMello224 — Preceding unsigned comment added by KeepitMello224 (talkcontribs) 22:18, 2 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

He acted in "Conor Finan's Adventures in Naas" in 1987? lol. Looks like someone pranked wikipedia. Or is this a real film? 79.171.77.205 (talk) 19:38, 15 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Wasn't he also in Harry Potter 3, in the opening scene in Hogwarts, with the chorus singing a song with the title of "Something Wicked this way Comes"? --mathx314

Shouldn't the 'Ray' link point directly to the entry for the film, rather than a disambiguation page? Kalthare 22:39, 28 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

In harry potter, year 4, is Warwick Davis the guy that hagrid stab with a fork, and he said "AH, You Idiot!" ?

It says: "...worked alongside David Bowie in the film Labyrinth." Ummm. In what capacity? He's not mentioned in the Labyrinth entry. Mike 05:56, 10 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

He's listed on IMDB, but the sentence should be reworded. --Awiseman 21:58, 10 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

I removed the line about Davis playing the goblin bank teller in Philosopher's Stone. This role was actually filled by Verne Troyer.

In the description under the photo (box on the right) it says he's 5'9" 1.75m tall. He's 3' 6" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.238.237.96 (talk) 21:54, 29 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Picture and roles

Why was the picture of him taken down? What was wrong with it?

Also, people say that Verne Troyer played the goblin in Sorcerer's Stone in Gringotts. Two things about this. First, if that's the case, why does Warwick Davis have on his website at the top where it shows all the roles he's been, why does he have a picture of that same goblin? If that's someone else, why put it there? Second, Verne Troyer is an American actor. The Harry Potter films specifically use British/UK actors and Irish actors, in the case of Katie Leung and Evanna Lynch. The only American "actor" that has ever apperead in the films was Chris Columbus's daughter in Sorcerer's Stone in a cameo as Susan Bones. I won't add that Warwick played that goblin yet, but I do want to know people's thinking about this.Anakinjmt 23:45, 29 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Rabat Hilton?

What does this sentence at the end of the article mean?

Warwick has never stayed at the "Rabat Hilton".

Mutiverse

He is hosting a new youtube thing called the mutiverse-I don't know much about it or what category to put it in, but someone should add it. Yor2cool (talk) 03:55, 30 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

'Is an English actor with dwarfism?' What an absurd intro, like he is defined by his condition. It's an important aspect of his career, and maybe should be in the first paragraph, but not the first line. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.30.29.38 (talk) 00:34, 30 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Unknown (2012 film)

Pronunciation guide?

Could we get one for his first name? It seems there are a lot of people who are confused about the pronunciation. Tad Lincoln (talk) 04:35, 10 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

It's pronounced the same as for the English city, i.e., the second 'w' is silent. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.149.53.134 (talk) 18:19, 10 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
Warwick is a popular first name in a branch in my family tree, not sure where it comes from, there are a half dozen or more. It's pronounced war wick. Same as it's spelled. Nothing is silent. 162.72.176.128 (talk) 03:09, 9 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

Year of birth

IMDb gives the year as 1970. Does page xv of the book actually give 1943?? Davis doesn't really look 75 does he? Is there any additional visible online source that could also be used? The article also says this: "When Davis was 11, his grandmother heard a radio advert calling for people who were 4 feet (1.2 m) tall or shorter to be in Return of the Jedi". That film was released in 1983. Martinevans123 (talk) 11:02, 29 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

some inconsistencies going on there.....Ooh Saad (talk) 09:08, 11 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

other son?

on the wikipedia page for annabelle davis there is a mention she had two brothers. one of you’s can fix it, so useless. sometimes i come to the talk article just to read snidey leftist opinions on stuff when i don’t want to go to reddit. thanks for listening. 49.224.241.45 (talk) 15:14, 16 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Do you mean this, at the Annabelle Davis article: "Template:Tq"? Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 15:23, 16 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Was wondering myself: His biobox states 4 children. The Personal Life section mentions just 2 children. Doing a Google search of family photos you can tell there are 3 children, except any given image only shows 2 children and I have not seen any image with all 4 children. 2A02:C7E:228:7B00:95DA:A343:B1FC:5F09 (talk) 14:20, 1 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

not the highest grossing actor

Could someone edit in "one of" before "the highest grossing actor?" He's not the highest grossing actor. And I don't know how to log in on the mobile app. 2400:4150:C80:800:3C80:F636:DF57:28B0 (talk) 00:46, 16 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Jonathan Creek?

Warwick is mentioned on the Jonathan Creek page but Jon’C not mentioned here…

I am sure I’ve seen Warwick in an episode but don’t know which. 146.199.188.122 (talk) 21:07, 10 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Personal Life

referring to him as Davis everywhere seems weird and confusing, amongst family members with the same (sur)name. He's named Warwick, and I think it should be used here, like most situations. Torydude (talk) 04:57, 19 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Referring to him as "Davis" is correct. See MOS:FAMILYNAME. Meters (talk) 05:22, 19 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Picture of Warwick with Andrew Kassem

I think that the picture marks an important part of warwicks life after being in star wars and how he continues to inspire younger generations AK201858 (talk) 17:05, 16 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

I think it's a waste of time and possible self-promotion Has it ever been published, by a secondary WP:RS source, with such an analysis? Martinevans123 (talk) 17:09, 16 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
