Elimination half-life of niacin and pantothenic acid is <2 hours
The daily norm of niacin and pantothenic acid does not exist, because their elimination half-life is <2 hours. Therefore only the hourly norm may be for niacin and pantothenic acid. Voproshatel (talk) 10:01, 29 September 2023 (UTC)

Suggested addition to Vitamin B12 deficiency syndromes
I would like to suggest an addition to the Vitamin B12 deficiency syndromes under the first table.
In addition to megaloblastic anaemia, Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to peripheral neuropathy and subacute combined degeneration of the spinal cord. Both wikipedia pages in question mention B12 deficiency as a potential cause, and in clinical practice, this is a very important side effect of B12 deficiency. I believe it is relevant even for laymen to know B12 deficiency can cause severe damage to the nervous system.

McCollum/Davis
Elmer McCollum and Marguerite Davis identified Vitamin A in 1913. See Wikipedia article on Elmer McCollum for details. 216.222.180.142 (talk) 20:12, 11 July 2024 (UTC)
"Essential to an organism"
Should this phrase be changed to "essential to an animal"? Are vitamins relevant to non-animal organisms (other than e.g. plants being a source of vitamins for animals)? There is no mention of any non-animal organisms in the article. Averixus (talk) 08:08, 4 February 2025 (UTC)
