All of the references I can find for Velana International Airport state that the airport has only one runway. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.84.220.140 (talk) 08:20, 6 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Question

How can I convince Wikipedia that I have permission to use the material I posted, supposing that I get it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fizan (talkcontribs) 04:56, 7 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Scheduled vs chartered

Rule of thumb: if the Wikipedia article for the airline doesn't list Male as a scheduled destination, then it's not. Eg. Air China destinations doesn't have Male listed anywhere. Jpatokal 16:12, 6 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Early days of Male International Airport

My father was one of the RAF NCOs who operated the airstrip in the early days (1963). He has photos and details of how it was operated. Would this be relevant to this page? Suelaw1954 (talk) 01:55, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

If it is about the same airport which was just an airstrip earlier, then it would definitely be relevant to this article. But before that, please go through the guidelines for uploading images. —Why so serious? Talk to me 17:05, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Turkish Airlines flight between Male and Colombo

In the body of the article there is a remark to not add Colombo as a Turkish Airlines destination from Male, because "they don't have traffic rights".

What does that mean? I don't know what "traffic rights" means, but TK does fly between Male and Colombo. I know because I flew that leg personally. Tdunsky (talk) 19:15, 19 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Traffic rights mean that an airline is prohibited from picking Colombo originated passengers up and solely taking them to Male and TK doesn’t sell tickets solely for that route.97.85.118.142 (talk) 13:22, 12 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
