Flux values - add discussion of Kennel-Petschek theoretical limit?

The maximum flux values of radiation belt electrons are discussed here - it could be relevant to mention the theoretical limit to 100's keV electrons predicted by Kennel & Petschek (1996), which has received recent observational validation from Olifer et. al. (2021, 2022) and applied to simulations by Hua, Bortnik and Ma (2022) to predict maximum electron fluxes at a range of energies. SpaceHG (talk) 13:58, 17 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

How many radii?

near the top of the article there's the statement "not more than 8 Earth radii". But in the Outer belt section it says that it extends to 10 radii. So how many is it? --2A0D:6FC2:5722:3600:ED70:33CE:53E9:C825 (talk) 09:02, 16 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Radiation not understandable because of unit switch

The radiation amount is not understandable by a non-specialist because the measured value and the max allowed value use different units: "but was measured to be between 0.16 and 1.14 rads (1.6 and 11.4 mGy), much less than the standard of 5 rem (50 mSv)[c] per year" 84.72.32.96 (talk) 13:24, 23 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

Geophysics or Heliophysics or Magnetospherics??

So now we have nav bars on the side for Heliophysics and Geophysics and one across the bottom for Magnetospherics. Are these all useful?? Johnjbarton (talk) 00:25, 5 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
