Script error: No such module "protected edit request". Change current president from Meric Gertler to Melanie Woodin. [1] Historicalbenzenering (talk) 14:22, 26 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

File:X mark.svg Not done: WP:TOOSOON According to the linked source, she doesn't take office until July. PianoDan (talk) 17:01, 26 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

@PianoDan We could still add it in some paragraph in this article as information, but not directly change the current president. Justjourney (talk) 17:08, 26 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
Given that we don't mention the CURRENT president anywhere in the article, I'm not sure where the change would go. Do you have a suggestion for wording and location? PianoDan (talk) 19:45, 26 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
@PianoDan I mean the infobox mentions the current president. Justjourney (talk) 19:48, 26 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
The infobox says "President". Then let's have sentences explaining it. Justjourney (talk) 19:51, 26 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
I'm not sure I'm being clear - it's a requirement of using the "Edit Request" template that you provide the exact language you'd like added, along with where you want it to go. "Change X to Y" (although "x" can be blank).
I don't think the infobox needs to be updated at this time, so if you'd like to suggest verbiage for the body, please spell it out word for word. PianoDan (talk) 19:56, 26 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
Alright then. Justjourney (talk) 19:57, 26 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
As you said above, waiting for when she will be in office. Justjourney (talk) 19:58, 26 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

Regardless, Gertler is still president until July. We wait until then. We don't change presidents on sudden announcements as there are always transition periods. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 00:42, 27 March 2025 (UTC) Template:RltReply

Script error: No such module "protected edit request". Delete "The University of Toronto is consistently ranked as the top university in Canada[22][23][24] and has been named the most sustainable university in the world for the last two years.[25]" in the intro as it violates WP:UNIGUIDE. Avoid boosterism and puffery (which can come in the form of undue weight). According to the Canadian national university rankings published by Maclean's, the University of Toronto is ranked second among medical-doctoral universities, indicating that not all rankings place it as the top university in Canada. I see what you're saying. I removed it. Thanks for the feedback! Cyrel6 (talk) 07:29, 15 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Ranking

Change “The 2023 QS World University Rankings ranked the university 21st in the world, and first in Canada. ” to “The 2026 QS World University Rankings ranked the university 29th in the world, and second in Canada.”

This is just one example.

All rankings are outdated and I think they need to be updated to newer versions. QS, Times, ARWU, Macleans, etc

——

In the 2022 Academic Ranking of World Universities (also known as the Shanghai Ranking), the university ranked 22nd in the world and first in Canada. The 2023 QS World University Rankings ranked the university 21st in the world, and first in Canada. In 2019, it ranked 11th among the universities around the world by SCImago Institutions Rankings. The 2023 Times Higher Education World University Rankingsranked the university 18th in the world, and first in Canada. In the Times' 2020 reputational ranking, the publication placed the university 19th in the world. In the 2024–25 U.S. News & World Report Best Global University Ranking, the university ranked 17th in the world, and first in Canada. The Canadian-based Maclean's magazine ranked the University of Toronto second in their 2022–2023 Medical Doctoral university category.Maclean's 2023 university rankings also ranked the University of Toronto first in its reputation survey. The university was ranked in spite of having opted out—along with several other universities in Canada—of participating in Maclean's graduate survey since 2006. 27.253.251.240 (talk) 09:14, 19 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
