Correction to a subtle, but serious, mistranslation

Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu (Zulu). A person is a person through people.

Saying 'other people', instead of 'people', changes the universal egalitarianism of ubuntu into some sort of us-them divide, encouraging xenophobia and exceptionalism. Subtly, it compltely subverts this important moral philosophy.
