It's many years since I've been to Tysnes. My impression was that it's an island, but it might only be part of one (the geography in that area is crazy/beautiful, so it's hard to tell—need to look at a bigger map ;-). One town I know is on the island is Våge, which has a ferry line to Os, a neighboring municipality. Beyond Os is Bergen ("the second-largest city of Norway," according to it's article), which is notable. The local paper has a website—guess I'll have to pick up a Norwegian↔English dictionary and bone up :-p &mdashMulad 17:41 30 May 2003 (UTC)
I added some stuff to the page based on my memories and whatever I could find in English by googling. I think the bridge was made sometime in the 80s, and to my memory the Våge ferry went to Os, but I'm not completely sure. -- Ckape 17:37, 23 Oct 2003 (UTC)
