Anyone got any proof that the IRL was always meant to be oval-only? --MartinUK 11:51, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erHQmiqD8BI This isn't the actual "IRL announcement" it is the first public mention of the possibility of TG splitting from CART. At the end he says that oval racing is something that should be perfected and then expanded around the world.
