Homer's character

I watched this epiode again recently and it is notable how different Homer's character is from usual. In fact he and Marge seem to have been reversed: She shovels down dinner with the kids while Homer watches in horror. And Homer sells the TV to pay for family therapy. is it worth noting how different the characters are in this episode? 172.214.190.239 00:44, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Realistic Flesh tones

Just seen this episode again on TV, and noticed what Homer says at the end of the episode: "We're gonna get a new TV: Twenty-one inch screen, realistic flesh tones..."

Goofs

It's forgivable that Homer relates a memory of his mother (demeaning him) that seem inappropriate given her later characterization, HOWEVER there's a fairly obvious one in the electro-room. Monroe says he needs to fire up the generator, but when the Simpsons repeatedly shock each other, the lights in the clinic dim, followed by the entire city. His machine requires a generator but draws on municipal power?
