Original edition

I remember this as being more or less horrifying, at least to an 8 or 10-year-old, which is when I read it. I added a description of the original signpost to the article. I don't recall much else. Wastrel Way (talk) 03:20, 20 February 2019 (UTC) EricReply

Re-Used Title?

I came here looking for details of a Hardy Boys story that I read in the 1960s. It was called "The Sinister Signpost," But the plot was nothing like the plot that is summarized in this article. According to this article, I see that the titular signpost was a sign by the side of a highway that concealed an anti-vehicle weapon. The "signpost" in the story that I remember was a remotely controlled puppet of a human hand that stood by the side of a footpath leading to the antagonist's underground lair. The cover art shown in this article correlates very well with the story that I remember, not so well with the story that is recounted in the article text. 2600:4041:D2:AC00:E95B:FEF8:6C58:82C6 (talk) 17:06, 6 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
