Pluto

It's not a planet so the reference in the introduction to "all the planets except Pluto" has been deleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.67.168.194 (talk) 4 April 2011

Inspiration for music in Star Wars

It's said in the Adaptations->In Popular Culture section that it was used to inspire the Imperial March from Star Wars. It's probably worth adding that it was used in "The Battle of Yavin" as well, such as around 13:15 in this video of the Death Star attack https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WBG2rJZGW8

Please use the article talk page to attempt to justify your preferred stylistic alterations. Seek a consensus there for your proposals. Tim riley talk 20:05, 23 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Tim, judging by your edit history here (many reversions) it seems to me that you’re interested in asserting some kind of ownership or quasi-ownership of this article. Nothing in my edit is even remotely controversial—it includes useful links, complies with guidelines, removes pointless repetition of "the composer", and most reasonable editors would not raise a finger to it—but you think the article ought to be left perfectly the way you want it to be. God in Heaven! Another editor who screams OWN! when his/her edits are challenged. Please propose your various wished-for alterations here and see if they attract a consensus. Tim riley talk 22:09, 23 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
Have you considered that the common factor is you? Keeper of Albion (talk) 22:17, 23 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hardly surprising that I pop up here so often. I wrote 80% of the text and successfully took the article through GAN. Anyone who has taken articles through FAC or GAN is only too familiar with drive-by editors who squeal "OWN!" if their precious rewrites are reverted. If one takes an article to GA or FA one is expected to keep an eye on it and maintain standards. I see from my watchlist that alterations have recently been made to six different articles I took to FA or GA, which were all minor improvements that I have not dreamt of reverting. Where, however, it is a matter of "I would phrase it this way so your phrasing must be wrong" there is no case for keeping the changes unless the new editor can garner a consensus on the article talk page, which you are, of course, wholly at liberty to attempt.
