2017 Gong Show Established Acts!
Just as it's predecessor featured many "ringers" , the latest incarnate is no exception. The one I've recognized is a group called The Wicked Tinkers.They are the bagpipe and drum group that played "Come On Eileen" , scored a perfect 30 points … and lost the tie breaker to a clog dancing pair (!). Failure to mention season one
Gary Owens' dry humor and awkwardness made this show a success such that Barris had something to MC. He had all the charm of a coke snorting used car salesman and ratings fell til cancellation as i recall. It's as though he had power to scrub all mention of Gary's unique character in tv history.
