Season 2

I have Season 2 on divx... so i'll end up expanding the location list when i'm done with season 1. This is still my fave season! --Madchester 01:16, 2005 May 12 (UTC)

In the final episode of this race, when the teams checked in to the pit stop, it was noted that due to a minor production problem that cost Tara and Wil one minute, they were also granted the trip to London and Paris. What happened? Wanderer 01:47, August 4, 2005 (UTC)

Final leg detour

Could the other detour choice on the final leg be driving across the frozen lake in those slow vehicles? SamK1994 (talk) 21:49, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hong Kong

HK is ultimately a part of China, even if it's an SAR. Likewise, Corsica is a "territorial collectivity" of France (Season 6), while England and Scotland are part of the United Kingdom. Unless it was pre-1997, there's no point in singling out HK as it's own "independent state". --Madchester 18:17, 1 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Greenland and the Faroe Islands are part of Denmark, too, like Hong Kong which is part of the PRC. Nevertheless they're conventionally included on general lists of countries. Countriessovereign states. — Instantnood 16:11, 7 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Leg 7 ang Leg 12

In Leg 7, why is the country "People's Republic of China"? If we were to do that for each country we would be wasting a lot of room. for instance: Commenwealh of Australia and Federative Republic of Brazil. Also in Leg 12, why isn't we can't specify Hawaii, bolded and with a flag, just like you did with Hong Kong? The state didn't change for the rest of the leg. Anchorage 11:56, 5 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

It's because China does not equal People's Republic of China, unlike Australia and many other countries (see also the relevant NPOV policy on Wikipedia). Don't think ordinary subnational entities (for the case of Hawaiʻi, a state of the United States) need to be listed with their flags. — Instantnood 16:11, 7 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I now understand. So if Greenland was a race location we would put Greenland File:Flag of Greenland.svg, Denmark File:Flag of Denmark.svg? Anchorage 22:39, 10 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
Can't tell. To me it's already sufficient to have the flag of Hong Kong (or Greenland) alone, but that may be unacceptable to some. As for the title of the section [1], nevertheless, I'd prefer Thailand - China, since that's the official designation by the organiser of the race. — Instantnood 19:34, 17 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Roadblock Performed

Why only 10 roadblock in the roadblock performed list for the final three teams instead of 12 being in the race? As i know, they have 13 legs of the race.Aleenf1 05:44, 10 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Two legs contained no roadblocks (1 and 13), and each team in the final 3 used the Fast Forward. Thus, they each only went through 10 roadblocks. -- SonicAD (talk) 03:19, 16 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Leg 13 no roadblock (Homesteader's Hardware Store)??? If leg 1 are no roadblock and one is skip task by using fast forward, it should be consists 11 at all. Aleenf1 05:05, 16 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
Right you are, perhaps I overlooked that. I'll see if I can figure it out.-- SonicAD (talk) 16:31, 16 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
Are you cheated to me, the information about roadblock still in the same (not configure). Aleenf1 07:04, 20 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
Assume good faith. I haven't figured it out yet, I probably won't until the next time I watch TAR 2, unless somebody gets to it before me. -- SonicAD (talk) 15:08, 20 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
Leg 13's roadblock was the one where they had to get the clue out of the ice block using any or all tools they got from the hardware store. -- MCRLP3DGTUFan50 12:02, 13 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

BROKE DOWN???

Blake and Paige's jeep broke down during Leg 2 causing them to finish last. However, Blake threatened to sue the production for not providing a time credit, since the rules never fully explained the arrangements in event of a vehicle failure. Consequently, CBS' lawyers stepped in and awarded Blake and Paige with a time credit, thus eliminating Hope and Norm. Henceforth from Season 3 onward, the rules stated that teams needing a replacement vehicle would not be given any time credit.

This Statement showed what happened during closing stage of leg 2 on Trivia, after review on Television Without Pity, of course in my memory too i remember that is Black & Paige finish ahead of Hope & Norm at the mat. So, i wonder where came this source of statement??? Aleenf1 15:02, 7 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Spoilers About Later Seasons

All I want to know is why? I edited out one spoiler concerning a later season and someone immediately reverted the changes. What is the point? This should be about season two only. There is a warning for spoilers, but presumably for season two, not for season eight. There are people who haven't seen season eight and its ending is spoiled under this entry. Basically it means that you can't access these pages if you haven't seen the later seasons and don't want to spoil them. Why does this page have to include information about later seasons anyway? It just doesn't make any sense. The entry is "The Amazing Race 2", not "The Amazing Race 1-9" for example. If you want to keep a running commentary about the records and incidents of later seasons, why can't it be compiled under some other page. The eighth season has nothing to do with the second. Or is this just a case of being inconsiderate to others because I have seen all the seasons, so it doesn't spoil the ending for me?

Hi. I'm the one who reverted it. If you notice, you took out that whole reference to season 8. I just checked that in the edit history. However, now when you took it back out, you just changed Linz and Bransen to one team and one team. You didn't delete the whole reference. This is okay. However, this is not what you did last time.TeckWiz 19:45, 30 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Oppose the Listing of Hong Kong as China

It is absolutely degrading and insulting to list Hong Kong as a part of China, when economically, politically, and administratively, it is different from China. This is a promotion of a Pro-China bias, one that I find inappropriate for Wikipedia. I would suggest that we list Hong Kong as Hong Kong. 70.190.243.86 (talk) 18:38, 3 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Deidre's name?

We currently spell her name as Deidre, but if you look at the opening for episode 3 and onward it's spelled Diedre. The first two episodes spell it as Deidre but after that it changes. Did they make a correction or a typo? It's hard to tell as she's already been eliminated. Thoughts? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.1.48.24 (talk) 02:48, 1 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Mary and Peach Elimination

What evidence is there that Mary and Peach skipped the last task and headed directly to the Pitstop? The summary tabel says this is so, however, upon watching it back, Mary and peach were filmed at the last task (a Roadblock), wearing the appropriate gear and picking up the final clue. They weren't filmed doing the Roadblock but we weren't told that they failed to do it. If there is no evidence that they did not do it, should it not be removed from the table?80.255.209.231 (talk) 15:46, 20 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
