Does anyone find it odd that both father and son died of heart problems? Should Jason and his other children be checked for heart anomalies? I have a history of three generations(not mine but someone I know) who have had aortic disruptions. The last one was caught on time but the two previous were explosive. Maybe someone can create an article about the son, Thomas Ritter. He has cerebral palsy, which makes it difficult for him to walk. He became an attorney, and served on the board of directors of the United Cerebral Palsy Associations, Inc. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.146.13.122 (talk) 07:16, 16 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Just Beyond the Moon

No mention of his 1967 #3 hit single "Just Beyond the Moon" with lyrics by Jeremy Slate? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bizzybody (talkcontribs) 00:50, 29 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Mention of Thelma Ritter?

There is often a heated argument that these two are or are not related. Should it be mentioned here? I'll also post this over on her board as well. My understanding is that there is no relationship, but I could be wrong. MagnoliaSouth (talk) 16:17, 29 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

"Ritter" is a German name ("rider" or "knight" -- qv, the Ritter dental-equipment logo). It's not uncommon enough that one might assume a close relationship. WilliamSommerwerck (talk) 13:01, 8 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Generally speaking, a "Ritter" once had been a person on a horse with sword and lancet. As it is a honorable name, people liked to receive it. Just like "Edelman", family name "Ritter" therefore is quite common, both, within the Christian, as well as within the Jewish community. 2001:9E8:AA96:3100:C01F:BA20:E34B:5A52 (talk) 15:05, 21 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
