Allusions to non-EM detectors

The first paragraph of the intro states that telescopes include "in some cases other types of detectors [besides electromagnetic]". The article doesn't reference any non-EM detectors, and the first paragraph of the article gives a different definition that explicitly only includes electromagnetic radiation.

I feel that references to non-EM detection should either be omitted or explained. As-is, it confuses more than informs. Metzger411 (talk) 17:48, 3 April 2025 (UTC)
