Is our Earth becoming like Tatooine?

I was reading the article and some of this information sounds like what our planet will be like once we run out of natural resources. Is it true that we might have to live underground and resort to moisture farming once the global warming and the depletion of our resources will result in us living like the people on Tatooine? Hutts

were the hutts not from Nal Hutta instead of Tatooine? Jelle Gouw (talk) 12:06, 29 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

The Force Awakens

While speaking from the stage at Star Wars Celebration J.J. Abrams confirmed that the desert planet featured prominently in Star Wars footage so far is not Tatooine.

The Most Iconic Planet

The lede states, quite authoritatively, that:

"Since [Tatooine] is the home planet of Anakin Skywalker and Luke Skywalker, as well as the meeting place for Obi-Wan Kenobi and Han Solo, it's the most iconic planet in the Star Wars universe".

Now then ... I'm not saying my opinion differs from that statement. However I will say that my opinion is completely and utterly irrelevant! As is anyone else's unless they've also written it somewhere else that can be used as a valid source. If that sentence isn't an example of Original Research then I don't know what is. I mean ... it's making a logical argument to support itself, right there before our eyes, in the very article itself and, as such, it does not belong unless someone can find a relevant source for it. Given that it is at least half of the lede, it really needs to be removed if a source can't be found because, contrary to almost every other aspect of life, the rules of Wikipedia were not made to be broken... ;-) FillsHerTease (talk) 09:27, 9 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Came here to say exactly the same, calling it the "most iconic" is (even if correct) subjective and just doesn't have a place here. Maybe something less definitive would be more fitting? Atreem (talk) 05:46, 17 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
So ... we have our own Rebellion??? ;-) I see the change you've made; "I heartily endorse this product or opinion" - Krusty The Clown. Nice work Sir! Have a wonderful New Year... FillsHerTease (talk) 06:49, 28 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
